Care
We are a community of broken people seeking help and healing through connection to Jesus and one another.
Groups
Jesus taught us connection is a vital part of recovery and healing. We have an extensive offering of support and recovery groups through our Encounter Ministry that are open to everyone. Click below for a complete listing of available groups.
Mentoring
Everyone has difficult seasons where they need someone to journey with them. We train men, women, and couples to come alongside Southeast members and regular attendees to help them take their next step spiritually. Click below to request a mentor or to serve as one.
Counseling
We partner with more than 90 clinicians, counselors, and coaches in private practice with a wide range of specializations who are committed to Biblical principles.
Pastoral Care
We want to walk with you during seasons of celebration and hardship. We offer support for premarital counseling, wedding ceremonies, hospital and home-bound visitations, and funerals. We also have a minister on call for prayer, encouragement, and guidance.
Frequently Asked Questions
How does the church view mental health?
The church has historically responded in ways which have not always been Biblical or helpful for individuals afflicted with mental health issues. The oversimplification of all mental illness being directly related to personal sin has been a huge bridge to cross for the church. We take a much more comprehensive, Biblical approach to mental health. We believe Jesus brings the whole Gospel to the whole person. This includes their mental, emotional, and physical well-being.
Do you have Clinical Psychologists on staff?
We do not have psychologists or psychiatrists on staff. However, our Pastoral Care team includes trained Church Staff Members who are available to meet you and offer guidance, encouragement, and prayer. This service is free. If you are interested in getting started or learning more, please call 502.253.8400.
