“And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.”
In His goodness, God allows us to partner with Him by giving back a portion of what He has blessed us with. He uses our financial gifts to change lives for eternity, making His name known throughout our neighborhoods, country, and world.

Non-cash Gifts
Stocks & Mutual Funds
Appreciated stocks and mutual funds are a great way to maximize your giving because you receive an immediate income tax deduction for the full fair market value of securities you transfer that you’ve held for at least one year. In addition, you pay no capital gains tax on the difference between your cost and the fair market value. Consult with your financial and/or tax advisor to analyze your particular situation and confirm tax benefits. Please call Ellen Williams at 502.253.8038 or email ewilliams@secc.org to set up a transfer of stocks or mutual funds.
IRA Charitable Distributions
If you are over 70-1/2 years old, then you may distribute directly from your IRA to Southeast Christian Church up to $100,000 and exclude the contributed amount from your gross income for tax purposes. This amount can be counted toward the IRA’s annual required minimum distribution. Consult with your financial and/or tax advisor to analyze your particular situation and confirm tax benefits.
Real Estate
Real estate gifts at the request of the donor may also be accepted, depending on the circumstances. You can maximize your tax savings by giving appreciated real estate to Southeast Christian Church before the sale. Consult with your financial and/or tax advisor to analyze your particular situation and confirm tax benefits.
Estate Planning
You may designate Southeast Christian Church to receive all or a portion of your estate after your lifetime. This type of giving may be accomplished through:
Bequests: You can name Southeast Christian Church in your will or revocable living trust as a beneficiary, and your estate will receive an income tax deduction for the value of your bequest. A bequest written in a will or revocable living trust can be made for either a percentage or an amount.
Life Insurance: You can simply name Southeast Christian Church as beneficiary of part or all of your life insurance policy. You can also choose to make Southeast the owner of a life insurance policy that is no longer needed. When Southeast is made owner, you may receive a tax deduction for the amount of premiums you continue paying each year. If the policy is whole life, you may receive an immediate tax deduction for the cash value amount. Consult with your financial and/or tax advisor to analyze your particular situation and confirm tax benefits.
Retirement Accounts: You can name Southeast Christian Church as a beneficiary of your IRA, 401(k), or other qualified retirement plans. Any amounts remaining in your plan, free of income and estate tax, will transfer to Southeast Christian Church. Consult with your financial and/or tax advisor to analyze your particular situation and confirm tax benefits.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is online giving safe? Is your site secure?
Yes! Your payment method details are tokenized and stored on industrial-grade servers where the information is encrypted. Please review Southeast’s Privacy Policy and the Pushpay Security Overview for more details.
Are there any hidden fees or charges to give online?
You will not pay any fees. The dollar amount that you select to give is recorded on your contribution statement. However, the church does incur fees for processing credit card donations. The most cost-effective way to maximize your giving is to give online from your bank account. Simply choose the Bank Account option as your payment method.
How do I get a Contribution Statement or view my Giving History?
Your Giving History can be viewed anytime by logging into your Pushpay account. Keep in mind you will only see transactions for your Pushpay account as each family member (spouses and children) may have separate accounts. Annual Contribution Statements are available electronically by January 31. You can access your giving statement and update your delivery preferences by logging into your Southeast Christian account and selecting My Giving. If you have chosen to receive a paper copy of your statement, Annual Statements are typically mailed by January 31.
What is the deadline for annual contributions?
All contributions must be received or postmarked by December 31 to be included in your contribution statement for that year. Any online contributions must also be by December 31.
Why do I need to select a campus when giving online? Does my giving go directly to that campus?
Regardless of the campus you select, all contributions made to the general fund are applied to our general budget (not to a campus-specific budget). The campus designations enable us to record campus giving.
How do I donate items such as food or clothing?
Visit LifeBridge to learn how you can donate non-perishable food, gently used clothing, and other items at a LifeBridge Donation Center near you. The items you donate are distributed to help alleviate poverty in our communities.
How are the Building funds used?
These funds are used for the maintenance of our current campuses and development of additional sites.
Southeast Christian Church is accredited by the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability.
