Foster Care & Adoption
“Whoever welcomes one of these little children in my name welcomes me…”
We want to be part of the solution for vulnerable children who need families. And we want to pursue God's heart for healing and restoration for all families—biological families needing community and support, foster and adoptive parents looking for connection and parenting skills, and adoptees pursuing healing and hope.

What we do
Inform
Considering fostering or adoption? We want to help you get started. Monthly sessions that provide families with information about foster care, as well as domestic and international adoption, are available.
Connect
We have a vibrant community of foster and adoptive families. Check out events and happenings where you can find encouragement, support, and meaningful connection with other families sharing a similar journey.
Equip
Parenting can be a difficult journey, especially when trauma is involved. Join our Families Count course for biological parents in crisis or attend the annual Family is Forever Parenting Summit for foster and adoptive parents. Families can also benefit from mentor families, expert speakers, and local therapists specializing in trauma, while adoptees can connect with area therapists or online partners for support.

Provide your contact information to be added to our mailing list.
How do I get connected with a mentor family to help answer questions about foster care, adoption, or parenting?
We’d love to get you connected! Reach out to us at the contact information listed above.
Does Southeast provide funding for adoption costs?
Southeast supports a local fund that helps families pursue adoption. Click “Explore” above or email fosteradopt@secc.org.
Does Southeast license families for foster care and adoption or provide placement of children into families?
We do not license foster and adoptive families or place children for adoption. We minister to the families who are fostering, adopting, or considering it.
Are there ways I can serve besides fostering or adopting a child myself?
Yes! There are many ways to serve. You can help as an event volunteer, serve as a mentor to a parent in the community, or be a buddy at Camp Empower. Please contact us to find out more.
